matching # Lemans blue/Black leather 1969 Corvette coupe. The vehicle is equipped with the following drivetrain options: 427/435 hp Tri-power motor, M21 4/spd transmission and a posi 411 rearend. Engine stamp pad # reads T1029LR195736234 Paint-975 code, Trim -402 code. Other options include black leather interior, power windows, headrests, louver trim and factory sidepipes. The odometer reads approximately 76,000 and is working fine. Paint+ Body- the vehicle was painted approx. 6yrs. ago and the paint is in super cond. However, there is a small skinny scratch on the left back window fin which was caused by my watch while I was cleaning the vehicle 2 weeks ago. I touched it up and did a fair job but it's hardly noticable. There are a couple of very minor stress cracks in the body most of them are under the hood on the upper surround trim where the engine hood lies. There is a tiny one on the left front fender well. The body itself looks good and there are no major gaps between the opening parts ( doors.engine hood ect.) of the vehicle. No major accidents, however there has been some body work on the fiberglass over the yrs.To the best of my knowledge all the original body panels, bonding strips and glass are present. Electrical- no electrical problems wipers, power windows alt. ect. work fine except for the clock( not working) and the radio I believe needs a new speaker. Headlights and wiper door also work just fine. Interior lights and ignition key buzzer and parking brake all work. Interior- leather seats in good shape with no major cracks/rips or tears. Dash- no bubbles or rips like alot of 69 vettes. Door panels, carpet, console ect. all good. Mechanical- I don't know if the motor was totally rebuilt at one time or another, but i do know over the past few yrs.the carbs have been rebuilt, new timing chain, hi-volume oil pump, u-joints, gas tank and all the brakes have been replaced with stainless steel brakes and the upper/lower control arm bushings were also replaced. My uncle who owned the vehicle before me for 20+ yrs. told me he had the motor rebuilt back in the 80's. Not manny miles have been placed on the motor since that time. This vehicle has been housed in the garage for the past 25 yrs. and only driven to local car events. Check one of the photos where you will see the oil pressure at 70 pounds this was taken at idle after starting the vehicle. The vehicle doesn't run hot for a big-block and usually starts on the first turn of the key. Motor is strong and idles perfectly after warm up. Frame- as mentioned before , the car has been inside for the past 25 yrs. in So. Fla. it's solid and in good cond. This is a great car to take to local car events and has won manny trophys at the local shows. With some time, money + effort this car can be NCRS ready if need be. December 19, 2007. |
